We just had breakfast at the Country Skillet Cafe this morning and the whole experience was wonderful. The food was tasty and portions were plentiful. Also, the waitress that served us was very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu offerings. We will definitely be returning for breakfast or lunch in the near future.

Nice, friendly small-town feel. My husband got the open faced roast beef sandwich and said it was delicious, just like in his little hometown. I got a taco salad and they accommodated me by making it chicken instead of beef. It was amazing! We also had their very berry pie with a scoop of ice cream and it was also wonderful! Great crust.

My mother and I went there for the first time today, and we were so impressed! The food was absolutely delicious , with generous portion sizes that are well worth the money. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, just like being at home. The service was outstanding!! The waitresses were friendly, polite, and very professional. We’ll definitely be going back to try more of their dishes!

Great food, great amount of food the cost. Service was excellent. We went at 10am on a Tuesday. We didnt have to to wait to be sat or anything. Food came quick, and was hot and fresh. Everyone's order was right. My family all lives about 2 hours from each other so we meet 1/2 way and this was a great stop. We plan on coming back but to try lunch next time. There was plenty of parking at that time of day too.

Love Love Love The Country Skillet Cafe! Adorable, very clean cafe with delicious down home cooking at a reasonable price. Their Country Scrambler is the best! The owners are amazing people who work very hard for their customers and it shows.

Drove to Sullivan early this morning hoping to get a load of sand at Havin’s. They were closed. On the way back home I started to get hungry. My first thought was to go onto Shelly’s in Cuba followed by its Monday so Shelly’s is closed. By then, driving on Route 66 I was almost to Bourbon. So I decided to stop at the 66 Country Skillet Cafe. Looking around the dining room and reading their our story paper, it was obvious that this place was locally owned. Still not sure what type or size of eggs they use. Look at the picture that is just two eggs! Large slice of ham and a huge portion of home fries. And the side of gravy eaten with the biscuit would rank as the third best restaurant gravy I’ve had. Well worth the price as supporting local family owned businesses changes the world one meal at a time.

Probably the best mom and pop cafe we have ever ate at. We arrived at 11:00 and the place was packed. We had about a 15 minute wait. We are very glad we waited because it was worth it. Our waitress (M.R.) was very friendly and she had a great attitude. We had the roast beef special and a cheese burger. The roast beef was very tender and seasoned perfectly. The cheese burger was cooked perfectly it came out juicy and well seasoned. We both started with a side salad that was good. Our only negative comment was the lettuce wasn’t cold on our salads. The fresh brewed ice tea was good and it came out in one quart mason jars, that’s really good for me since I drink a lot. We live almost no.45 minutes away but we will be driving down to enjoy this excellent restaurant. Thank you for a great meal.
